This concept is the argument that a considered home does not require a large budget. Everything is modular and standard-sized; the discipline is in the palette and the edit. Pale oak, three neutrals, one texture per room and nothing decorative that does not also do a job. Storage is modular because modular is what an Essential budget buys, and it is drawn to run full height so the room keeps its proportion. The daylight does the rest — every surface is chosen for how it holds afternoon light rather than for how it photographs.

Modular, drawn properly
Standard carcasses and standard sizes, but set out full height and flush, which is what separates a considered budget interior from a cheap one.
Three neutrals, one texture
A tight palette is the cheapest way to make a small home feel resolved, and it survives future additions.
Nothing decorative that is not useful
Every object in the plan earns its place — the calm comes from the absence of the rest.
Chosen for afternoon light
Matte finishes and warm-toned oak hold Bengaluru’s low afternoon sun instead of flaring under it.
